Our Story
Ishlato was born from a lifelong connection to beauty, self-care, and scent. As a licensed barber, I’ve always believed that looking good and smelling good go hand-in-hand—but my passion started long before I picked up a clipper.
Early Inspiration
I grew up helping my parents run their beauty business, unpacking boxes of Avon products, and exploring the lotions and fragrances they sent back home to Ghana. Those early memories shaped the way I experienced scent.
A Defining Moment
Years later—long before fragrance went viral on TikTok—I met someone in my community who introduced me to Middle Eastern fragrances. One scent sparked something deeper, inspiring me to grow my personal collection to over 30 fragrances and study what makes a scent truly unforgettable.
